About meAfter earning a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas Fayetteville, I moved to San Francisco, California, where I continue to practice my study and production of fine art and design. I have been drawing since the age of five and never stopped. My interests extend into calligraphy, typography, visual design, animation, photography and fine food. I am versatile in a multitude of medias and well-versed in art history. Food is my second passion, and I consider myself to be a serious home cook. I have been a cheesemonger for nearly 4 years, and I have knowledge of over 400 different types of cheeses from all over the world. My strengths lie in pairing foods and plating beautiful arrangements. Photos of this work can be viewed at my food blog. My visual design process is based on elegance and simplicity, and my influences span from International Typographic Style to Art Nouveau. I believe in keeping visual composition concise and minimal. Conveying the message clearly and, most importantly, quickly is my goal. This has always been my attraction to great graphic design and visual art, and this has always been my way of designing things. My online portfolio was coded from the ground up using basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript in Adobe Dreamweaver. The package, the content — is all me. I practice visual design as fine art.
